Alumnus heads Nobel-winning agency

Dr. James Orbinski, International President of the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize-winning Doctors Without Borders, is scheduled to speak at the Trent University Alumni National Capital Chapter Dinner Series on Nov. 14 at the Capital Club Delta, Ottawa.

Dr. Orbinski, a graduate of Psychology at Trent, is one of the Canadian founders of the organization founded by a group of French doctors in Paris in 1971 and officially called Medecins Sans Frontieres. During his Trent years - 1980-1984 - he was also a Don at Traill College. He provided a very positive testimonial about his Trent educational experience for the current version of the student recruitment publication.
