Professor Emeritus delivers paper in Greece

David Gallop (philosophy, emeritus) attended the 'Year of Socrates' convention held by the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, at Athens and Delphi, July 13-20, 2001, to commemorate the 2400th anniversary of Socrates' death in 399bc. Professor Gallop delivered a paper entitled 'In vino veritas? Love, Truth, and Socrates in Plato's Symposium'.
