GE Gives a Boost to Aboriginal Students
The GE Fund pledged $75,000 (us) to establish seven GE Fund Ontario Undergraduate Awards for Aboriginal students participating in Trent University's Administrative Studies or Computer Studies programs. These awards will be given recognizing and rewarding student academic achievement, taking into consideration the financial needs of the individual student.
Ron Osborne, Vice-President and General Manager, GE Canada Nuclear, Jim Nichols, General Manager Large Motors Operation, and Warren Hope, GE Industrial Systems Human Resources Manager presented a cheque from the GE Fund to Professor Jim Jury, Computer Studies Department and Bonnie Patterson, President and Vice Chancellor, for the first of three payments of a three year pledge of $75,000 (us) towards the Beyond Our Walls Campaign.
