Capital Campaign UpdateA list of funding priorities for Trent's $1.7 million capital campaign for private-sector funding has been formally approved by the Priorities Selection Committee, the Campaign Planning Committee and the new university Administration. Priorities include $5.4 million for Student Aid Endowment, $2.5 million for Undergraduate, Graduate, International Program Scholarships, Teaching Assistantships and Research Assistanceships and a to-be-determined students-sponsored project. Other goals are Support for Learning, Teaching and Research, which includes Learning Technology and Research Projects, faculty research fellowships, equipment upgrades for science teaching, Environmental Policy Institute, Centre for Community-Based Education and funding for Margaret Laurence Lectures and the Gilbert Ryle Lecture series. Also included is Support for Campus Renewal, including Otonabee College Academic Building Renovations, a Humanities Centre and First Peoples House of Learning at Peter Robinson College and renovations at Peter Robinson, Catherine Parr Traill College, Lady Eaton College, Champlain College, along with other campus repairs and improvements.
