Chancellor Peter Gzowski takes the helm
Previous Trent chancellors are Leslie Frost, Eugene Forsey, William Morton, Margaret Laurence, John J. Robinette and Kenneth Hare. Gzowski, long-time cbc radio host of Morningside, now seen on the network's Gzowski in Conversation, began his public role as Trent's ambassador early Convocation day with a guest appearance on a local radio station. Set against a background of morning Convocation, he provided a three-minute filmed commentary on the value of a Trent education, which is now on Trent's Web site at www.trentu.ca/admin/comm/gzowski.mpg. The new chancellor has already scheduled several Trent dates and visits, including hosting a gala celebration to mark Trent's 35th anniversary (see story on Anniversary plans.) Gzowski has a Trent location in the Riverside Offices, Bata Library. Any correspondence for him should be directed in care of the Secretariat, Bata Library.
