Welch] Twenty-five years of service
Celebrating 25 Years of Service
Sixteen individuals joined the ranks of
Trent's 25-year service group at a luncheon held June 6. Twelve
others who will achieve 30 years of service this year, and seven
who will reach the 35-year mark were also honoured at the event,
held in the Great Hall, Champlain College.
"The awards program is a way of saying
thanks to the faculty and staff who deliver the programs and
an array of student services," said Gary Wolff, Chair of
Trent's Board of Governors and co-host of the event with President
Bonnie Patterson.
There are now 182 persons who are 25-year
service award recipients.
New members this year include:
John Breaukelaar, Physics; Doug Brown, Physical Resources; Bob
Condon, Athletics Department; Marlene Davis, Financial Services;
Gloria Dunn, retired from Switchboard; John Fekete, Cultural
Studies Program; Ed Flaherty, Physical Resources; Robert Franklin,
Physical Resources; Paul Healy, Anthropology; Colleen Hickey,
Physical Resources; John Jennings, History; Goldie Lock, Housekeeping;
Zailig Pollock, English Literature; Joyce Sutton, Office of the
Registrar; Keith Walden, History; Susan Welch, Counselling &
