Conolly elected to WUS Chair

Former Trent President and current member of English Literature Department, Leonard Conolly, was elected Chair of the World University Service (WUS) Board of Management at the 70th Assembly of WUS held last month.

Dr. Conolly was previously Chair of the Board of Directors of WUS Canada.

Members of the five-person Board of Management include Dr. G.S. Randhawa (India, Vice-chair), Inge Friedrich (Germany, Secretary/Treasurer), Dr. Caleb Fundanga (Ivory Coast), and Raquel Leal (Argentina).

WUS is an international, non-governmental organization committed to the universal and equitable right to education and knowledge, academic freedom and autonomy, development through learning, and human rights and dignity. It has representation in 34 countries.
