Professor wins Fellowship

Professor Stephen Brown has been elected a Fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Book at the University of Edinburgh. The Fellowship begins on July 1, 2001.

His research will focus on the role of Freemasonry in the Edinburgh Enlightenment and will form one part of his contribution to the18th-century volume of the History of the Book in Scotland, a four-volume work commissioned by the University of Edinburgh Press.

Professor Brown takes up residence as Fellow this summer and again in the summer of 2002, when he will address the International Congress in Edinburgh.
