Architectural firm to be selected The Science Facilities Architect Selection Committee heard proposals from five architectural firms on January 24th. The five were short-listed from 15 proposals received by the university following a public request in December for firms to design Trent's new science facility. The science facility will be part of the existing Environmental Sciences Centre and will house the Water Quality Centre as well as other research areas. Following review of the proposals, the committee will recommend a firm to the Board of Governors in February. Members of the selection committee
include Skip Maxwell, Chris Metcalfe, Jim Sutcliffe, James Neufeld,
Don McCaskill, Sally Young, Dave Binkley, Bernie Roth, Larry
Seeley (BoG Liaison), Yolanda MacKinnon, a graduate student in
the second year of a M.Sc.in the Watersheds Ecosystems Graduate
Program, and John Earnshaw, Chair. |
