Robert Campbell, former VP, taking up post at WLURobert Campbell, professor of Political Studies and former Vice-President Academic, is moving to Laurier University this summer to serve as Dean of Arts. His term begins July 1. Campbell came to Trent in 1976 as a lecturer and was made full professor in 1993. He was awarded the Symons Teaching Award for Excellence in 1994. He was Provost and Dean of Arts and Science from 1994 to 1996, and Trent's Vice-President Academic from 1996 to 1997. Campbell's wife, Christl Verduyn, will be taking up a position in the Department of English at WLU. She was the first chair of Women's Studies, joining the faculty at Trent in 1980. She also chaired the Canadian Studies Department and was awarded the 1996 Symons Award. |
