Project MUSE brings journals online via libraryA much broader range of journals is now available at the Library - online. The Library has obtained a subscription to Project MUSE, a gateway to 45 full-text electronic journals from Johns Hopkins University Press. Among the most popular paper format journals from Johns Hopkins University Press, according the the last Trent survey, are Theatre Journal, Diacritics, Eighteenth-Century Studies and World Politics. Consequently, the library will offer even greater access to an online collection which emphasizes Humanities and Social Sciences and is particularly invaluable for research in Cultural Studies, English, Modern Languages, History, Politics, and Classics. Also included are titles in Biology and Mathematics. A few of the new titles are the American Journal of Mathematics, American Journal of Philology, Henry James Review, Human Rights Quarterly, Journal of Asian American Studies, Modern Fiction Studies, Modernism/Modernity, Theory & Event and Wide Angle. All are available through the Library's web-page through any workstation with Trent IP addresses. The subscription comes through the efforts of Marisa Anna Scigliano, Technical Services Librarian, who submitted a successful application to the SSHRC Aid to Small Universities fund, for a $4,600 grant. Trent is an associate member of the Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries which negotiated a special subscription price for its members. Back to the Trent Report main page |
