Web site to get national prize Trent University's award-winning Web site will receive a bronze medal for its newest addition, a virtual tour (www.trentu.ca/tours). The award will be presented in June at The Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education's (CCAE) national conference in the category "Best E-Innovation in Public Affairs, Marketing and Communications." Judges described the multi-media tour - launched in March - as "distinctly impressive" and said that Trent is correct "to focus on the importance of a web-based campus tour, which is very influential in students' decision-making process. The implementation is one of the best to date; students would tend to be strongly influenced by it." "The content production values are
very high and demonstrate a willingness to strive for the utmost
quality." |
