Get immunized The Ministry of Health recommends that all students and employees at universities and colleges have documented receipt of their routine immunizations (including a single dose of measles, mumps and rubella vaccine). This is especially important for foreign students because many countries provide measles immunization without mumps or rubella. Mantoux testing for tuberculosis is also important for aboriginal Canadians and students from countries with high levels of tuberculosis, according to the local health unit. Students may check with Health Services in Blackburn Hall about updating their immunizations. Heath Services director Ann Walters endorses this program, noting that several Trent students came down with measles last spring. |
