Gzowski to host Findley banquet It's confirmed. CBC Radio broadcasters Peter Gzowski and Shelagh Rogers will host the gala banquet Oct. 18, the climax of a three-day celebration at Trent of novelist Timothy Findley. The literary weekend begins Oct. 17 with readings by Phyllis Webb, Don Harron and Findley in Wenjack Theatre at 8 p.m. On Oct. 18, Canadian authors will give readings at 10 a.m., 1 and 3:30 p.m. in Wenjack Theatre. A public book display and sale with scheduled signings by participating authors will take place at the Trent University Bookstore and Peterborough Public Library from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A reception and silent auction preceed on Oct. 18 banquet in the Great Hall at 7 p.m. These guests will perform: Margaret Atwood, Donnell Leahy, Joe Sealy, Veronica Tennant, Peter Togni, Bill Whitehead and Don Harron. Attending will be June Callwood, Lorna Crozier, Mary Lou Finlay, Katherine Govier, Janice Kulyk Keefer, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Anne Michaels and Sylvia Tyson. Lectures and films about Findley are scheduled throughout the weekend including Timothy Findley -- Anatomy of an Artist in Bata Library film theatre. Registration is $25, or $10 for students. Banquet tickets are $50 for registrants, or $60 without.
