First aid courses
Trent is offering first aid and basic rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses and recertification classes in both on weekends in November. The courses follow Canadian Red Cross and Heart and Stroke Foundation guidelines. For information, call Sue Robinson at 748-1432.

Physics seminars
The Physics Department offers the following undergraduate seminars every second Wednesday in the Natural Sciences lecture hall (Environmental Sciences Centre 319) at 4:30 p.m. Coffee is served at 4:15 p.m.

Computer workshops
Computing and Telecommunications Services is offering fall workshops on creating Web pages, surfing the Internet via Netscape, e-mail and VAX.

        For dates and times of the morning and afternoon workshops, check the CTS Web site at http://www.trentu.ca/cts/workshops.

        Workshops are limited to nine participants, so registration is first come first served. Sign up by contacting Kathy Fife by e-mail at kfife@trentu.ca or at the CTS office in Bata Library. Participants will be notified by e-mail if workshops are cancelled.

Colombians talk
Two Colombian labor leaders talk at Trent Nov. 5 about working conditions in the oil fields.
