Dress casually for United Way
By Nov. 12, the Trent United Way campaign had reached 90 per cent of its $51,000 goal. It hopes to close the gap over the next month with collections for casual days.

On Nov. 27, collectors in each building will ask employees for $1 if they come to work dressed casually. In exchange, donors will receive a sticker to wear. For $4, donors can buy a button and dress casually for four Fridays in a row beginning on Nov. 28. A third and new option gives them a chance to pay $5 and dress casually for the week of Dec. 1-5.

As of Nov. 12, the campaign had raised $46,026. Past casual days have netted $400 to $650. "General support of our casual days will help us greatly in our efforts to reach our goal," says campaign co-ordinator Sybil Thorn.
