MacGee was curator of Mackenzie House
Chris MacGee, Peterborough artist and former director-curator of Mackenzie Gallery, died Dec. 8. He was 46.
MacGee was director-curator of Trent's public gallery from about 1979 to 1987-88, when the university decided to close it. At its peak, the gallery exhibited as many as eight shows a year by Canadian artists in Mackenzie House, operating on a budget of municipal, provincial and federal arts council grants.
