Paul Healy (Anthropology) has been elected by the research vice-presidents of Ontario universities to the executive committee of the Ontario Council on University Research. Healy also was elected by the graduate studies deans of Ontario universities to the executive committee and position of vice-chair of the Ontario Council on Graduate Studies.

Publications co-ordinator Richard Miller has recently been accredited as a registered graphic designer by the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario. The association was created and granted professional status by the Ontario legislature in April 1996. It is the only graphic design association in Canada to have such status and the second world-wide. Members with proper credentials can use the designation after their name.
