Food for thought on forensics Trent University's Natural Resources DNA Profiling and Forensics Centre (NRDPFC) was spreading the word on its leading forensic work at the February 3 Women's Business Network of Peterborough's Technology Trade Fair. The event, at Peterborough's Holiday Inn Waterfront provided an opportunity for participants to learn more about organizations that focus on technology and complimentary firms in the technology industry. Elizabeth Swain-Wood, forensic technician/camp administrator, as well as Kristyne Wozney, NRDPFC technician, were at the trade show to outline forensics as a technology as well as to discuss some of Trent's forensic science-related undertakings. They had the opportunity to highlight the forensic science lab and DNA Forensic Camp. Along with eight other exhibitors, Trent's representatives were there with a goal to help participants learn more about technology from a business and personal perspective. Posted February 5, 2004 |
