Andrew Pyper in residence at Trent University: November 8 - 13 Public reading to take place November 12 at 8 p.m.
As part of his week as writer in residence, Mr. Pyper will be reading from his recent work on November 12 at 8 p.m. at Dreams And Beans Café, visiting PCVS and Lakefield District Secondary School and working with Trent creative writing students. Champlain College has had writers-in-residence for more than 30 years, the first of whom was Margaret Laurence. In recent years, the college has welcomed Michael Ondaatje, Dennis Lee, Stuart McLean, Ali Smith and Joyce Carol Oates. Mr. Pyper previously visited Champlain College as writer-in-residence following the publication of the critically acclaimed short-story collection Kiss Me in 1996.
Other works have been published in a variety of journals, including Mr. Pyper lives in Toronto, and is working on his third novel The Wildfire Season. Posted: November 10, 2003 |
