A celebration of culture at Trent University Cultural Outreach - an annual event featuring music, dance and drama - has become a popular tradition at Trent University. This year, performances will be held on March 1 (7 p.m.) and 2 (6 p.m.) in the Wenjack Theatre. Approximately 100 students will be involved in on-stage presentations and another 15 students have been organizing the event. "The Trent International Students’ Association organizes this event each year and it’s been running for at least ten years," explains second-year student Penar Musaraj. "This year there will be 25 performances in the show, and every continent will be represented, as well as many cultures within the continents." The theme of this year’s production of Cultural Outreach is "Around the World in 25 Ways." Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for adults, and are available at the Trent International Program office in Champlain College or at Titles Bookstore in downtown Peterborough. Seventy-five cents from every ticket sale will be donated to the Canadian Foundation for the Children of Haiti. Photos: Scenes from last year’s Cultural Outreach performances at Trent University.
