Nominations Invited for Chancellor
Senate Executive invites nominations for Trent's eleventh Chancellor
All members of the university community are invited to submit nominations of appropriate persons for the post.
The Chancellor confers all degrees and diplomas at Convocation, sits as an ex-officio member of the Senate and the Board of Governors, chairs Senate Executive's Subcommittee on University Honours and represents the University in an official capacity at external functions from time to time. The Chancellor also enters into and enhances the life of the University in ways that reflect his or her interests and talents. The term of office is normally for three years, and is renewable.
Nominations shall be made in confidence to Tara Harrington, Associate University Secretary (Senate) by Friday, January 11, 2013 using the form found at the Chancellor Search website – Trent University :: Chancellor Search. Copies of the nomination form are also available in the University Secretariat (Ground Floor, Bata Library).

The nominee should not be advised that she or he has been nominated. The Nominating and Governance Subcommittee of Senate Executive will consider nominations in confidence and make recommendations to Senate Executive and Senate in closed session.
