Trent University Oshawa Celebrates Convocation
Graduates celebrate with faculty and staff at a formal graduate dinner on Oshawa campus
It was a cool morning in Peterborough where Trent University Oshawa graduates joined in the traditional outdoor Convocation ceremonies on Thursday, June 6, 2013.
Among the 117 graduates of Trent University Oshawa, 56 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree, 12 with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree, 39 with a general Bachelor of Arts, two with a general Bachelor of Science, six with a Bachelor of Education and two with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
During the ceremony, an honorary degree was conferred upon The Honourable Ed Broadbent, who addressed the graduates and families present about the challenges faced by the generation to come. Also at this ceremony, Professor Emeritus Paul Healy was recognized, along with Associate Professor Emeritus Jocelyn Aubrey and Professors Emeriti Susan Apostle-Clark and Susan Jamieson.

On Saturday, June 8, 2013, acting principal Ken Field welcomed Trent University Oshawa graduates and their families to a formal dinner held in the atrium at Trent Oshawa, congratulating them for their successful convocation.
Trent Oshawa awards were presented during the dinner. Mr. Field presented graduate Deborah Offei-Ansah with the Trent Oshawa Citizenship Award. Craig Cameron presented Joshua Reyes with the Peer Mentoring Recognition and Jason Dougherty gave the Sociology Award to Allen Kempton. It was also announced that the graduating student with top academic standing was Mamta Vaswani.
