Trent University Mourns the Passing of Wendy Charlebois
The Trent University was saddened to learn of the death of Wendy Charlebois, who passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013.
Mrs. Charlebois spent 33 years at Trent, retiring in 2003 as Head Housekeeper of Champlain College.
Below is an excerpt from Mrs. Charlebois’ obituary from the Peterborough Examiner:
CHARLEBOIS, Wendy Therese - (Retired Head Housekeeper at Champlain College, Trent University) - Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, July 7, 2013, age 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Gary Charlebois (March 4, 2001). Loving mother of Adele Cousineau of Peterborough and Lise and John Buelow of Barrie. Proud grandmother of Shaundra, CJ, Quinn and Nicholas Buelow. Dear sister of Bev Cooper (Geoff) of Carleton Place and Dale Bivand (Chuck) of St. Catharines. Visitation at Duffus Funeral Home , 431 George Street South from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Funeral Service in the Duffus Chapel on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 6 p.m. Cremation followed by a private family interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. The University extends its deepest sympathies to Mrs. Charlebois’ family and friends, and to all those who knew her in the Peterborough and Trent communities. In recognition of Ms. Charlebois' accomplishments, the University has lowered the flag atop the Bata Library to the half-mast position.
