Hosted by the Trent Central Student Association, this special event celebrates the care, culture, and significance of Black hair. It highlights Black hair care not only as a matter of health and maintenance, but also as an important expression of identity, culture, and heritage.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore curated resources, learn practical hair care techniques, and engage in conversations about the cultural, historical, and social importance of Black hair.
The event will take place on February 12, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Freedom Lounge.
Participants can expect free hair care products and samples suitable for a range of hair types, guidance on hair care practices and techniques, and a feature table display showcasing literature and educational materials that celebrate Black hair and its role in identity and cultural expression. The display will include Hair Happiness books by Symphorosa Gabriel.
