Join us for an evening of music, creativity, and community as part of Black History Month.

The DJ 101 Workshop introduces students to the world of DJing in a fun, interactive, and beginner-friendly way. Participants will learn the fundamentals of DJing, including how DJs prepare, mix, and perform live music.

This event takes place on February 23, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the Student Centre Event Space. Register here!

What you’ll learn:

  • Understanding DJ equipment and controls

  • How to beat match

  • Basics of mixing and transitions

  • Tips and techniques used during live performances

This hands-on workshop breaks down the DJ process in an accessible way and offers a behind-the-scenes look at how DJs create their sound.

  • Sip-and-paint

  • Colouring and other creative activities

  • Resource booths

  • Giveaways

Whether you’re curious about DJing, looking to unwind, or hoping to connect with community, this event offers something for everyone.
