Whether you're raising your hand in class, presenting a project, creating visual aids, or answering tough questions on the spot, this workshop series will help you speak in public with confidence and clarity. No assignments, no grades — just a fun, supportive space to practice and grow your skills!
Join fellow students and an Academic Skills Instructor for one or all sessions at 3-4 PM in Bata Library 106.6.
- Sep 25 – Finding Your Voice in Class: Bring your speaking voice and learn speak up in class without the nerves
- Oct 16 – Speaking Professionally in Public: Dawn your most professional persona and learn how to focus you and your audience when delivering presentations
- Nov 6 – SLIDE(s) into Visual Aids: BYOD (bring your own device) and learn how to craft meaningful visual aids
- Nov 27 – Asked & Answered: Put on your thinking cap and learn how to respond to questions even when you're put on the spot
Each one-hour session will feature an introductory icebreaker, a short academic skills topic presentation, group practice activity, a reflection, and snacks! Register on the SEP (link in bio) or drop-in (space permitting).
