Trent University Saddened to Learn of the Passing of Professor Emeritus Keith Oldham
Dr. Oldham worked in the Chemistry Department for over 20 years
The University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Keith Oldham, professor emeritus in the Department of Chemistry at the age of 95.
Dr. Oldham joined Trent as a chemistry professor in September 1971, serving for 23 years. He was acting chair of the Department of Chemistry between 1972-1979 and again between 1991-1992. Professor Oldham retired from Trent University in 1994.
Prof. Oldham was a well-regarded electrochemist who, in 1988, won the Distinguished Research Award in recognition for his work in chemistry for a distinguished career of internationally recognized intellectual contributions. Prof. Oldham stayed research-active for several years after his retirement and was a staunch supporter of the Bata Library.
