Trent University's annual GIS Research Day, hosted by the Trent Library’s Maps, Data & Government Information Centre (MaDGIC), showcases how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can be used in research across a variety of disciplines.
This event hosts a series of speakers who have had success using GIS as a tool for spatial analysis—leading to new insights about their data and new ways of communicating their findings. GIS day is a casual, fun event where audience members get to learn about a variety of research. It brings together researchers, students, and experts to explore the impact of GIS on research—from tracking wildlife conservation to reimagining campus spaces in virtual reality.
