Trent University Saddened to Learn of the Passing of Professor Emeritus George Nader
Dr. Nader was a professor emeritus in the School of Environment and former principal of Peter Robinson College
The University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. George Nader, professor emeritus in the School of Environment and former principal of Peter Robinson College.
Professor Nader joined Trent as an assistant professor of Geography in July 1970, before becoming associate professor in 1973 and full professor in 1980. Eight years later, Prof. Nader took on the role of associate dean and director of Julian Blackburn College. In 1997, Prof. Nader was appointed principal for Peter Robinson College, a position he held until 2001. Prof. Nader retired from Trent University in 2005.
In 2014, Prof. Nader was honoured with the John Fekete Award in recognition of outstandingservice to the Trent University Faculty Association, its members, and the academic profession generally.
The University extends heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Prof. Nader and to all who knew him at Trent.
