Trent University Mourns the Passing of Professor Emeritus Dr. Paul Wong
A pioneer in studying positive psychology, Dr. Paul Wong taught at Trent for 25 years in the department of Psychology
Trent University is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Paul Wong, professor emeritus in the department of Psychology.
Professor Wong started his career at Trent in 1972 as an assistant professor of Psychology. In 1974, Prof. Wong became full professor and continued to teach in Trent’s Psychologydepartment until his retirement in 1997. Upon his retirement, he was presented with the title of professor emeritus.
Prof. Wong was highly regarded in his field, for his work on the positive psychology of meaning, existential positive psychology, and meaning-centered therapy. Over his career, Prof. Wong published eight books and authored over 300 book chapters and articles.
The University extends heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Dr. Paul Wong and to all who knew him at Trent.
