Trent University Saddened by the Passing of Student Ernest Bour
The Trent University community is deeply saddened by the passing of Ernest Bour, a first-year Nursing student from Ghana who resided at Traill College
Ernest was known as a dedicated student, a person of strong faith, and a source of kindness and wisdom. Despite his brief time at Trent, he made a lasting impression through his humility and eagerness to serve others. Before coming to Trent, Ernest achieved numerous academic honours, ranked first in his class several times, was involved in student governance, and was valedictorian of his graduating high school class.
As expressed by Lawrence Lam, associate vice president of Students, "Though his time with us was short, Ernest was known for his humility, gentleness, and wisdom. We are profoundly saddened that we did not have the opportunity to see Ernest flourish and grow further at Trent."
The University extends heartfelt sympathies to Ernest's family and friends, as well as to all who knew him at Trent. We understand that this loss is difficult for many in the community.
