Are you interested in exploring and sharing your faith while fostering empathy and understanding among your peers? We invite you to participate in our exciting research project, "Faith in Focus: Using Photovoice to Build Interfaith Understanding.”
About the Project:
Over the course of four weeks, starting after reading week in October, you will use photography to express your faith and religious worldviews. Each week, you’ll receive a prompt to guide your photography, and we’ll come together for circle discussions to share and reflect on our photographs. The project aims to create a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse faith traditions represented on our campus.
Who Can Participate:
We welcome students from all formal and informal faith/spiritual traditions, including but not limited to:
- Buddhist
- Christian
- Hindu
- Indigenous Worldview
- Jewish
- Muslim
- Sikh
- Other
How to Get Involved:
If you're interested in participating, please fill out this short survey. The purpose of this survey is to help us predict how many people may attend the information session. Then, attend the Faith in Focus information session on Thursday, October 31st from 2 pm-2:30 pm in CCW A1. You may also attend virtually at this zoom link. Participants will be selected at random, with the goal of achieving the greatest possible diversity in faith tradition representation.

- Develop skills in photography and visual storytelling.
- Contribute to meaningful research that promotes interfaith understanding.
- Have your work featured in a public exhibition on campus.
- Receive a framed picture of your photography.
We hope you'll consider joining us in this unique and enriching experience. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or for more information.
