Child & Youth Studies student Maggie Willis spends a term in Scotland exploring the beauty and culture of Europe
Child & Youth Studies student Maggie Willis was ready take her studies at Trent University Durham GTA international as she packed her bags for her study abroad exchange experience at Queen Margaret University in Scotland.
For Maggie, the opportunity to study abroad was all about immersing herself in a different country, culture, and language.
The academic experience
Speaking of the experience, Maggie said studying in Scotland was similar to the community at Trent Durham – comforting and close-knit.
“The size of the school was relatively small, which was comforting, and I was able to create connections and relationships with my professors,” she said.
During her study abroad experience, Maggie was also able to connect with family in Scotland. She also had the opportunity to travel to England, Spain, France, and Portugal.
