Concerns Over the Conflict in Israel and Gaza
Supports available to the University community
The violence and ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza is deeply concerning and especially distressing for students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have ties to the region.
As a University community, we must pull together at times like these and work together to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everyone on our campuses.
The University is reaching out to students and staff affected by the conflict to share our concern and provide support.
We encourage anyone at Trent who is feeling the impact of these attacks to reach out and connect with supports and resources.
- Supports are available through Counselling Services in Peterborough: 705-748-1386 or counselling@trentu.ca and at our Durham campus: durhamcounselling@trentu.ca.
- Volunteer chaplains and community liaisons from various faith traditions in the community are also available to students through Trent Spiritual Affairs’ Multi-faith Network.
- Staff and faculty in need of support can access Lifeworks: Employee Assistance Plan.
- Trent International can always be reached for resources and support at international@trentu.ca.
