Trent Community Mourns the Passing of Dr. Paxton Whitehead
Acclaimed actor, director, playwright and Trent University honorary degree recipient leaves legacy of noteworthy performances
The Trent community is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Paxton Whitehead ‘78 D. Law. (hon), a celebrated British actor and theatre legend known for his roles on Friends, Frasier, and The West Wing.
Dr. Whitehead's legacy in the acting world is one of talent and dedication to his craft. His appearances in acclaimed Broadway productions, such as The Harlequin Studies, My Fair Lady, and The Crucifer of Blood, showcased his talent and garnered him recognition. His honorary degree from Trent University, awarded in 1978, symbolized the deep appreciation and respect for his artistic honesty and commitment to his craft.
