Trent Community Mourns the Passing of Former Director and Long-Time Piper Colin Campbell
Known for his passion and bold playing of the pipes, fond memories of his service live on at Trent
The Trent community is saddened to learn of the passing of Colin Campbell.
During his tenure as the director of Physical Plant and General Services from 1985-98, Colin played a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the campus. His dedication and commitment left a lasting impact on the University community.
Colin's love for piping was well-known at Trent. For years, he faithfully piped as he marched with students into convocation ceremonies. His heartfelt melodies became the soundtrack of celebration and marked the beginning of countless journeys for Trent's graduates, forever etching his name in the tapestry of our cherished traditions.
A memorial service will be held at Mark Street United Church, 90 Hunter Street East, Peterborough, on Saturday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m.
