Trent Loves Local: Ways We Can All Help Our Communities Shine
Showing the Trent spirit by giving, shopping and supporting local in a challenging COVID year
For more than 50 years, Trent has been a significant contributor to the economic, social, and cultural vitality of Peterborough and the Durham Region. Each year, Trent community members donate to their local United Way campaigns, shop at small businesses, fuel up at downtown restaurants, and support local organizations by donating their time or personal goods. Now, more than ever, local matters.
Looking to support the community? You can show how #TrentLovesLocal in the following ways:
Giving
The United Way in Peterborough and Durham have experienced a 50 percent increase in demand for services as a result of the pandemic. To help meet the need, Trent has set a fundraising goal of $150,000. Consider giving to United Way through Trent’s annual campaign.
Shopping
Local shopping has never been easier thanks to the efforts of the municipalities and BIAs to create coordinated platforms so you can safely explore your favourite local shops, or discover news ones, from home.
