Nadège Compaoré is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Her research is concerned with claims of sovereignty by states and communities affected by natural resource extraction in Africa. Before completing her graduate degrees at Queen’s University, Nadège received her bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from Trent University, where she was a Trent International Program scholar. Nadège is also a board member of Women in International Security Canada and of the Canadian Association of African Studies.
