Trent University Mourns the Loss of Catherine Graham
Catherine (“Cathy”) Graham was one of the original faculty members of the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing
The Trent University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Trent/Fleming School of Nursing (TFSON) retired lecturer and clinical instructor, Cathy Graham.
Ms. Graham began her career at Trent in 2003 as one of the original lecturers in the TFSON, after working in a variety of roles at Sick Kids and at Centennial College. While she retired from Trent in 2019, Ms. Graham continued to work with the TFSON as a clinical instructor, workshop leader, marker, and (her favourite role) patient actor in Nursing simulations.
Below is an excerpt from Ms. Graham’s obituary notice:
Cathy was a teacher of life, Nursing and of the art of caring for others. Her colourful, tenacious and bright spirit will be missed by all. She recently said “I haven’t lived a grand life but I have lived it LOUD” and to those who knew and loved her, that rings true. […] In lieu of flowers memorial donations to The NHH Foundation – Palliative care unit or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated.
The University extends heartfelt sympathies to the friends and family of Cathy Graham and to all who knew her at Trent.
