Virtual Homecoming and Head of the Trent Rowing Regatta Return for 2021
Homecoming celebrations include virtual coffee houses and college challenges, varsity games open to Trent students, and rowing regatta for athletes and coaches only
Trent University’s annual alumni homecoming celebrations will be virtual for a second year in a row, while the Head of the Trent Regatta returns to the Otonabee as an event for athletes and coaches only and Excalibur varsity homecoming games welcome students to Justin Chiu Stadium.
“While we are delighted to have our Trent University students back on campus for in-person learning, health and safety remains of paramount importance,” says Julie Davis, vice-president of External Relations & Development, Trent University. “We are looking forward to connecting with alumni virtually for Homecoming celebrations and to cheering on our Trent Excalibur student-athletes safely from home.”

Alumni Homecoming from Home
Trent alumni from around the world are invited to join 2021 Homecoming from Home events, taking place virtually from September 27 to October 2. Participate in a virtual College challenge, connect with former classmates, and enjoy Trent alumni musicians – all from the comfort of your home. Excalibur Varsity Games
As part of regular season OUA and CUFLA league play, the Trent Excalibur will host four varsity games at Justin Chiu Stadium over the weekend:
- Excalibur men’s lacrosse vs. Laurentian October 1 at 7:30 p.m.
- Excalibur women’s rugby vs. Western October 2 at 2:00 p.m.
- Excalibur women’s soccer vs. Ottawa on October 3 at 1:00 p.m.
- Excalibur men’s soccer vs. Queen’s on October 3 at 3:15 p.m.
Excalibur games are open to Trent students only, who must register for free tickets in advance and adhere to strict health and safety protocols. Friends, family and other fans are invited to cheer on the green and white, safely from wherever you are in the world, through our live streams. Head of the Trent Rowing Regatta
The Head of the Trent Regatta (HOTR), hosted by the Peterborough Rowing Club, will take place Saturday, October 2. Focused on health and safety, the regatta is for athletes and coaches only. The event is not open to spectators from the broader community. The regatta beer garden will not take place and there will be no social events held on campus or at the Peterborough Rowing Club.
