A Year That Challenged the Way We Think
Trent reflects on this pandemic year and looks ahead to a more auspicious future
From pivoting to a multi-access learning approach and mobilizing knowledge in new digital mediums to creating community and making sure our students had the supports needed to succeed, this year certainly challenged the way we think at Trent.
Answering the call, Trent took up the challenge this year presented as we came together to:
- Adapt to new ways of learning to create interactive online and safe in-person experiences
- Lead innovative research to provide solutions to a global pandemic
- Mobilize knowledge around COVID-19 and beyond through Trent Talks
- Answer the call to support our local communities
- Invest in our students by providing additional resources to support their learning
- Prioritize connection through our collegiate communities
“Together, we rose to the challenge this very different year has presented,” says Dr. Leo Groarke, president and vice-chancellor of Trent University. “As we look ahead to a more auspicious future, thank you to our students, faculty, staff and community for our resilience, compassion and commitment.”
