Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

Recently, Trent IT has become aware that a website with an address similar to the myTrent portal has been registered and is redirecting to adware and other content that some may find to be offensive.

This is a type of scam called “cybersquatting” where a website with a name similar to a popular site is registered in the hope that users will navigate to it by accident.  

Trent IT has taken steps to filter this website from being accessed while on campus. However, given this, we would like to advise our community that the best way to access the myTrent portal, or any Trent University web resource, is always through the links on our main homepage at www.trentu.ca
