TUFA Supports The Campaign for Trent University Durham GTA with $25,000 Matching Donation
Sending a powerful message of support and commitment to the Durham Region
Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) has shown their support for the Together; We're Trent Durham Faculty & Staff Campaign with a $25,000 matching gift to help support the creation of a new residence and academic building at the Trent Durham campus. Sending a powerful message about how committed Trent faculty, librarians, and TUFA are to the Durham campus expansion and the Region.
“TUFA’s commitment to the Trent Durham campus expansion is a testament to the leadership and dedication of Trent faculty, librarians, and TUFA” said Sherry Booth, director of Philanthropy, External Relations and Advancement. “Through their work, they bring their best to the university each and every day, and this investment sends a powerful message of support for the growing campus.”
This new development for Trent’s growing community of scholars will integrate both residence and academic space and will feature a 200-bed residence, a 100-seat tiered lecture hall, two 64-seat classrooms, research space, student common spaces, and faculty offices.
The new $35.6 million building will be financed through a private partnership, a land donation from the City of Oshawa, contributions from the Regional Municipality of Durham, university financing and the generous philanthropic support of our community, friends, and alumni.
Initiatives like the Durham expansion are made possible by the vision and optimism of the Trent community and supporters. To find out how you can to make an impact on student lives at Trent Durham, please visit trentu.ca/GiveTrentDurham
