Leading-Edge Library Research Tool Launched at Trent
Trent University Library and Archives one of 14 Ontario Universities to launch new Omni Academic Search Tool
A new discovery and research tool will soon be arriving at Trent as part of a collaborative initiative of the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL). The new Omni Academic Search Tool is the latest example of OCUL’s commitment to ongoing collaboration to advance research, teaching and learning. Omni users will be able to easily access and explore a vast, shared collection of scholarly resources that includes books, databases, journal articles, videos, music and more. The Omni platform provides its users with an easy way to explore shared library resources, discover new materials, and search for specific information.
“Omni offer Trent’s students and researchers fast, intuitive and seamless discovery of vast collections of diverse and useful academic resources available at Trent and at the libraries of 13 other Ontario universities,” notes university librarian Robert Clarke. “Access to Omni is quick and mobile-friendly, and the research material that you will be accessing is high-quality and authoritative. Trent is proud to be part of such a leading-edge academic research collaboration.”
The new tool will launch on December 10, 2019 with a continued roll out of additional services and enhancements in 2020. Read the full press release for more information.
