Trent Chancellor Named #1 Digital Thinker in the World
Alumnus Don Tapscott ‘66 also named second Most Influential Management Thinker in the Thinkers50 2017 global ranking
Recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on the impact of technology on business and society, Trent chancellor Dr. Don Tapscott ‘66 has been named the second most influential management thinker in the world by Thinkers50, the Oscars of management thinking. Along with the prestigious management honour, Dr. Tapscott was also named, together with his son Alex, the number one Digital Thinkers in the world.
The Thinkers50 global ranking is published every two years and is thought of as the world's most reliable resource for identifying, ranking and sharing the leading management ideas of our age. On the 2015 list, Dr. Tapscott was named the number four most influential management thinker. With this newest honour, he has now made the top five list for the third time running.

Dr. Tapscott is CEO of The Tapscott Group, has been advancing groundbreaking concepts for over three decades. He author of over 15 books, including Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, which has been translated into over 25 languages. Dr. Tapscott and Alex Tapscott are authors of The Blockchain Revolution: How the Technology behind Bitcoin is Changing Money, Business, and the World (Portfolio, 2016), an international bestseller. Canadian technology trailblazers, they are also co-founders of the Blockchain Research Institute.

In 2015, Dr. Tapscott was awarded one of the highest honours in Canada, being named a member of the Order of Canada.
