Trent Excalibur brought their best to Burnaby, British Columbia for the 2017 Canadian University Rowing Championships.

Third-year Trevor Jones, an under-23 Canadian National Team member and Burleigh Falls native earned gold, crowning him the defending back-to-back men’s single scull champion. Mr. Jones, and third-year Peterborough native Dan Bullock, a heavyweight men’s pair also stood proud on the podium with a bronze medal. Both men’s and women’s race results combined, earned a fifth place overall finish as well.

“We sent a large team across the country and we are very happy to see strong performances from all of our boats” said Jessica Reaume, Trent Excalibur rowing head coach. “The bronze in the men’s pair and the gold in men’s single are huge accomplishments, but we are extremely excited with what everyone showed on the water, and are excited to build off these successes moving forward towards 2018.”
