Trent University Mourns the Passing of Barbara Hulcoop
The University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Barbara Hulcoop. Ms. Hulcoop had a long career at the University starting in 1973 and retiring in 1998. She held a number of positions at the University during her time with Trent, including accounts receivable supervisor, assistant chief accountant, and assistant manager of accounting services. Ms. Hulcoop was well known for her warmth and connections with Trent students, particularly those in the Trent International Program. The flag will be lowered to half-mast on Friday, March 11 in honour of Ms. Hulcoop.
HULCOOP, Barbara May nee: Clark – Member of Millbrook and District Lions Club, dedicated volunteer with the Trent International Program, talented artist and retired from the Finance Department of Trent University – peacefully at PRHC surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Skip (2010). Dear mother of Lesley Hulcoop (Ross Polowin) and Darren (Lesley) and second mother to Kathy Heffer. Adoring grandmother of Erin, Jacob, Mikayla, Hudson, Robert and Shannon. Sister of Bev and Bruce Martin and Brad and Shelley Clark. Sister in law of Bob and Carol, the late Garry and Val, Ken and Gloria and the late Sharren. Barb will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, her Galvin Bay Family and her many Trent International Students. Barb will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Hulcoop is resting in the St. Johns Anglican Church (County Road #10 in Ida) on Friday, March 11 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Celebration of Barb’s life will be held in the church on Saturday, March 12 at 1:00pm with interment to follow in St. Johns Ida Cemetery. Rev. Peter Mills officiating. A Lions Service will begin sharply at 1:00 pm. In memory of Barb, donations to the Trent University - Hulcoop Cup (an award given to a first year student in recognition of outstanding contributions to the international life of the University) or the PRHC Foundation may be made in person at the services or by visiting www.bensonfuneralhomes.com .
