At yesterday's Senate meeting Peter Gzowski was reappointed to another three- year term as Chancellor of Trent University. "Trent was important to me when I had the honour of first taking this job and its grown more important to me every year," says Gzowski, reacting to the news of his reappointment. "I am thrilled and honoured again to be a part of this special university." Gzowski was presented with an honourary degree from Trent in 1987. In 1999 he was appointed Chancellor. The term of his next appointment is July 2002 to June 2005. "Peter Gzowski's contributions to
the Trent University community have been invaluable," says
Bonnie Patterson, President of Trent. "As Chancellor, he
has played a leadership role by using his office to advocate
on behalf of the university. He has also brought the Trent community
together through the Chancellor's Dialogues and other forums
that he actively participates in. We are honoured to see his
association with us continue."
