Trent Expecting Record Number of Visitors
for Open House days March 12th and 13th

Trent University is preparing for a record number of visitors when the university welcomes prospective students during March Break Open House March 12th and 13th.

The Open House days, held annually during March Break, provide students considering Trent with a unique opportunity to visit the campus and explore while university classes are in session. Many students who tour the campus bring family members along as they talk with professors, meet current students and generally find out about life at Trent University. Events scheduled throughout the two-day Open House allow applicants to learn more about Trent's excellent academic programs, residences, financial aid and more.

"We are expecting up to 1500 visitors over the two-day period," said Susan Salusbury, Trent University's Registrar. "Faculty, staff, current students--everyone at the university gets involved in showing visitors that Trent is Canada's outstanding small university. This is our chance to shine!" Commenting on the number of visitors, she added, "We're anticipating record numbers at this year's Open House because of a 25% increase in student applications. And with first choice applications up 43%, we expect a lot more of those students to make a point of coming to Trent from all over the country."
